Efficient VM Selection Strategies in Cloud Datacenter Using Fuzzy Soft Set

A cloud data center is established to meet the storage demand due rate of growth data. The inefficient use resources causes an enormous amount power consumption in centers. In this paper, a fuzzy soft set-based virtual machine (FSS_VM) consolidation algorithm proposed address problem. uses four thresholds detect overloaded hosts and applies set approach select appropriate VM for migration. It considers all factors: CPU utilization, memory usage, RAM correlation values. experimentally tested 11 different combinations choice parameters where each combination considered as compared with existing algorithms various metrics. experimental results show that FSS_VM achieves significant improvement optimizing objectives such consumption, service level agreement violation rate, migrations algorithms. Moreover, performance comparison among selection methods are made, Pareto-optimal sets identified. Pareto-based improves QoS. time complexity increases when it finds best future work will reduce concentrate on developing efficient placement strategy migration since has greater impact improving QoS placement.
